Intention

The purpose of the Integrated EPC Guide is twofold.

Firstly, it is a tool for the daily practice of European patent attorneys and other patent professionals for saving time and money by having the EPC articles, the implementing regulations, EPO Guidelines, Case Law and other relevant information in a structured way integrated in a single reading source.

Secondly, it helps candidates for the European Qualifying Examination (EQE) to quickly find the relevant information related to a particular topic or EPC article. Speed and eliminating loss of time is paramount on the EQE exam.

The origin

The first edition of the Integrated EPC Guide was published in 2021. The Covid-19 pandemic imposed homework on the author. The abundance of spare time during the lockdown led to the creation of a book on the European Patent Convention.

Several books discussing the EPC are already commercially available, and another one on the shelf would not make much difference. Unless… it was different and included several advantages. Read more on what was developed in order to achieve these advantages in CONCEPT
